Our SchoolYear Groups

Year Groups

We have 3 classes in each year group making 9 in total. This enables staff to work in teams when planning and assessing children’s progress. Each class has at least one Teaching Assistant attached to it either for mornings only, or some for the whole day. Teachers move year groups quite regularly in order to keep ideas fresh and for their personal development.

We have several job-shares in school which have always worked very successfully due to excellent communication and team work.

Having been vetted parents are encouraged to come and help in school with a wide variety of tasks.

Our classes do not have names or colours, they are merely identified by the year group and teacher’s initials, eg; 2C.

Our children regularly use the school and local park grounds as part of the planned curriculum . They also go on several trips each year with Year 2 doing one in the Summer which is residential. We organise clubs after school for years 1 and 2, including judo, football, library, etc.
